The original Vampire Weekend album cover, depicting a chandelier, was taken at St. Anthony Hall, a Columbia University semi-secret society. The photo was a Polaroid taken during one of the band's early shows at Columbia. To keep the bands history in mind, polaroid images from college parties were utilized as containers for each song in the album and to help represent the music style.
